? We start the year with the launch of an unprecedented number of Portage pilot teams in Moscow and Obninsk!
?Despite the obstacles, when due to the human factor all projects were on the verge of being postponed for a whole month, and thanks to the well-coordinated work of the team of trainers ? and personally the director of the fund, Elena Volodina, we still adhere to the schedule and are fully prepared to form teams of specialists .
?Recall that in November-December 2021 we held two seminars in Moscow, trained more than 50 specialists in the Portage technique and are now ready to accompany the newly formed teams.
Already next week, 3 orientation sessions will be held, teams will be formed and children with severe and multiple developmental disorders will be selected.
Our coaches (pictured) are holding unique materials that will be given to each team. In total, 11 pilot teams will be formed at the beginning of 2022!!! For 6 months, coaches will accompany each team and take part in weekly meetings of specialists. Portage specialists will start working with children:
✅ Conduct an initial diagnosis of the child’s skills in 640 skills
✅ Create an individual profile of the child
✅ Learn how to use activity cards and fill in activity tables
✅ Master the principles and norms of the Portage methodology in practice
✅ Participate regularly in team work
All these efforts will be aimed at improving the competencies of specialists working with children with severe and multiple developmental disorders (SMD) and at ensuring that children master the skills:
✴ Baby skills
✴ Knowledge
✴ Speech and communication
✴ Movement
✴ Self service
✴ Socialization
Portage is a unique system of working with children that allows you to achieve incredible results even where it was previously considered unpromising and perfectly complements the system of early assistance to children with disabilities.
