The other day we visited the opening of the Rehabilitation Department at the Scientific and Practical Center for the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents named after G.E. Sukharev Moscow City Health Department. This is the only institution in Moscow of psychiatric care for children and adolescents. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of specialist assistance when a teenager is in a crisis situation, or the child’s mental state is in a critical situation. Here can help. And we love helping those who help.
Opening a new department is a very important step in helping small patients. It is gratifying that renewal and development has come to this kind of institution, a team of specialists, together with their parents, are struggling with stereotypes regarding children and for the right to receive decent support.
And it’s very scary and sad when you get to the premises of the hospital, where repairs are urgently needed, there is always a lack of teaching materials for children, where it is very necessary to equip at least 5 children’s sports and playgrounds, but there is no money for this.
Here you need books, games, designers, puzzles, materials for creativity and a lot of volunteer participation. All this can be brought to the Foundation’s office at metro Pervomayskaya, ul. 7th Parkovaya, house 24, office 102 or directly to the children’s hospital.
Let’s hope we can help with the playgrounds. Because further this should not continue.
