From her mom’s letter: “Looking back, I remember a few rehabilitation courses and two very complicated orthopedic surgeries with long periods when Liza had to stay in cast. After the first surgery and three rehabilitation courses Liza managed to walk holding someone’s hand. It was a miracle… However, after the second surgery her recovery was much harder. Liza was afraid to lean on her feet, and it took us almost a year to get back to at least what we had before the first surgery… And we didn’t have to wait long to see the result. Liza began to step, at first very slowly, and then – with more confidence. Finally, she could make a few steps holding one hand. I couldn’t believe my eyes… Once again my daughter wanted to walk when she realized she could do it! It was an eye-opening moment, because a lack of motivation can knock the bottom out of all the efforts. Liza’s outlook is quite promising, but we must continue her treatment. She has to get rehabilitation courses on an ongoing basis. It’s very important that my daughter keeps her frame of mind intact – she is happy and eager to study at school. Despite all the difficulties and hardships in her life, Liza is still a very kind and cheerful person, open to the world – a true bundle of sunshine.
We are doing our best to help Liza walk on her own and we believe that she will succeed. However, we won’t make it without your help – Liza is growing up and we get new problems. Liza had a few treatment courses in the rehabilitation center “Rodnik” and it was after those courses that Liza demonstrated the best results. The center is famous for its highly qualified and competent experts who know what and how to do with my daughter to help her… I’m asking you to help Liza take another rehabilitation course in the center “Rodnik”.
