Congratulations to the pilot teams of the City Psychological and Pedagogical Center of Moscow on the successful completion of the pilot project for 4 Portage teams!
From September to May 2023:
✅16 specialists were trained and supervised by the Portage method in 7 territorial centers of the HPOC.
✅4 new teams have been formed and the composition of 3 teams has been replenished.
✅Long-term assistance was received by 20 families and children with SMDD.
“Due to the additional interaction with families within the short stay groups, we have seen that our work efficiency increases and individual meetings with parents are complemented by our observations of the child in the group, can better track the dynamics and development of skills. Such work opportunities are giving positive results, and we are ready help new families and new children in the next school year.” – say the experts of the new teams.
During the event, Elena Volodina, Director of the Diema’s Dream Charitable Foundation, spoke about the current state of the system for helping children with SMDD using the Portage method as part of the “TOGETHER IT WILL BE GOOD” project, implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation. She also shared the feedback and results of the just completed pilot projects in the Republic of Dagestan (Makhachkala and Kaspiysk).
