Today is a wonderful day as one of our children, Anna* (name has been changed) has kindly received custom-made orthopaedic shoes! Moreover, Diema’s Dream is lucky to have received payment for tutors and supportive corsets for some children in the project “Verticalization”.
Anna loves to play with with her new pink shoes. She always first tries to take them off and look at them, touch it all, see how the straps work. All the nurses, as well as the director shared this joy with Anna, although it is a pity neither her mother or father are here to witness the joy of Anna finally beginning to start to walk in a somewhat stable way.
We are proud to say no longer does Anna lie curled on her side or on her back. Instead now she cheerfully strides both with the helpers as well as a bit on her own, albeit still a bit hesitantly of course. Here in Diema’s Dream, we are sure that when she masters her new comfortable shoes, she will confidently stand on her own two legs and be able to look beyond the floor and walls, and rather learn to look at the world around her!
Additionally, our team would like to personally thank the brand Renault, which provided a car to us for free for a trip worth 350 km from Moscow! We are grateful for this generous loan as the there are few normal roads to the orphanage.
