Thanks to Maria Aglusevich, Ambassador of our foundation, who donated the necessary amount, Irina Sh., born in 2008, Kamen-on-Obi, successfully completed a rehabilitation course in July.
Required: a rehabilitation course at the Step by Step RC, Barnaul, costing 109,500 rubles.
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, mental retardation
During rehabilitation for two weeks, the child was provided with the following medical services:
• Consultation with a neurologist, 1 session
• Exercise therapy (55 minutes), 15 lessons
• General therapeutic massage (55 minutes), 20 sessions
• Coordination and balance classes (25 min), 20 lessons
• Neurostimulation (25 min), 20 sessions
• Bioacoustic correction (25 min), 20 sessions
• Heat therapy (25 min), 20 sessions
Results after the rehabilitation course: My back and legs became stronger. A sense of coordination appeared, and my steps when walking independently became more confident.
From mom’s letter:
“The course was not in vain, the most important thing is that we went further towards our joint dream for Irinka to become an independent girl. This is the same dream for both of us – for Irinka to go on her own, and thanks to you we have such a chance.
The most important thing is that we have results. Her back and legs became stronger and Irinka began to stand straighter and more confident in herself, and there was less fear when taking independent steps.
Irinka began to understand and do how to take a step correctly and control her body. I began to stand on one leg more – this is a huge result and a lot of work done. Irina began to rise from the floor on her own and this is very pleasing.
The back became perfectly straight.
Irinka understood how to take the steps correctly and when not in a hurry, she walks confidently like we ordinary people, this is a huge plus for us, the main thing is that she doesn’t lose her balance. Irinka gave her all, as always. There was even some pain, but my daughter endured it, wiping away her tears and continued studying. All our specialists are like family, they worry with us and also rejoice with us about new successes. With such support, Irinka will definitely succeed. Ira studied with great zeal to gain new successes, and never once showed her fatigue, because she understands that this is a chance for an independent life in the future.
We are brought to tears of joy to receive such results.
