The month of April has been full of great news! Thanks to the support from OOO Renaissance Capital-FC, the Auto Service Centre on 7th Parkovkaya Street, Pride Sports Club, and AO Rosneft, we were able to help Albert Moskalenko by paying for an essential course of treatment at OOO Sakura Medical Center.

Payment sources:

  • RUB 21,000 paid from donations made by employees of Renaissance Capital-FC ;
  • RUB 2,886.90 paid from the donation box at the Auto Service Centre;
  • RUB 14, 392.33 paid from the donation box at Pride Sports Club
  • RUB 109, 720.77 paid from contributions made to donation boxes at BP gas stations

Needed:  A course of treatment at OOO Sakura Medical Center (Chelyabinsk) at a cost of RUB 148,000 (approx. $ 2,625).

Diagnosis: Cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis

Let’s recall Albert’s story:

It was a very difficult delivery, after which Albert was hooked up to a ventilator. We started treatment immediately after he was released from intensive care. Over the past 8 years, we have completed about 35 courses of treatment and rehabilitation, and that’s not counting the acupuncture, osteopathy, chiropractic, and physical therapy sessions or the classes in the pool or with horses in the interim.

Albert has a hyperkinetic form of cerebral palsy. Hyperkinesis is movement caused by a contraction of the child’s muscles, which he or she cannot control. The body doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do: he can’t bring a cup to his lips, get dressed or undressed. In spite of this, we were able to achieve very good results. Now Albert can walk by himself, although, he often falls since he doesn’t have a lot of balance. He says a lot, but his speech is slow. He has also started first grade at a regular school.

Albert has been treated three times at the Sakura Center and the results have always been very good. Albert, even if only slightly, is able to control his body more easily.

In April 2017, his mom shared the results of his treatment with us:

We want to say thank you to everyone who believed in my son and helped him! We are very pleased with the results of the medical procedures at the center. For example, there is a procedure called bioacoustic correction of the brain, which reads the EEG of the child’s brain and converts nerve impulses into sound. That’s right, the child hears how their brain works, which has a positive impact on their health. Classes to improve fine motor skills develop his arms such as sandbox art therapy: all of these activities help Albert deal with the hyperkinesis in his arms. However, he is not yet able to eat independently. He holds a fork and a spoon with great difficulty.  Specifically designed physical education classes, massage sessions, and chiropractic therapy help my son to cope with the difficulty of maintaining his balance. In his day-to-day life, he also works on his balance in aikido lessons, which he has been attending for 4 years already on an equal footing with the other children. He has already accomplished great achievements, receiving a yellow belt.  However, we intend to continue with professional treatments: no less than 2-3 times a year”.

As always, we are grateful to everyone for their kind hearts and sincere desire to help the children!
