November for you and us has was already marked by a wonderful event: we have raised funds and purchased 23 cots for mothers of children with disabilities – young patients of the children’s orthopedic department of the clinic of the Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise. Last Friday, November 13, they were taken to the clinic.
Thanks to all our friends who supported the collection of funds! But if suddenly you were not able to take part in this good deed, we now have another no less important matter, where your support and participation will be very useful: a collection for an electrocardiograph for wards with severe developmental disabilities for boarding school No. 11.
So now, on the second floor of the FBMSE clinic, where the children’s orthopedic department is located, mothers will be able to sleep next to their children on comfortable, modern, durable folding beds. This department mainly accommodates children with disabilities and severe disorders of the musculoskeletal system after complex operations – for treatment and rehabilitation.
This means that mothers will get enough sleep and more easily cope with the numerous tasks that they have to solve when caring for their children in the postoperative and recovery period. In particular, among these children there are very young patients who need constant care, because they cannot move. That is why mothers live with their children in the ward – they feed, look after, take care of. And more recently, mothers had nothing to sleep on next to their child at night. For this reason, the institution turned to the Diema’s Dream Fund for help in purchasing 20 folding beds for mothers, and we, our dear friends, provided this help!
The Foundation has long-standing cooperation and friendship with this institution. The children’s orthopedic department of the FBMSE accepted for operations and treatment wards of our foundation with severe developmental disabilities from the Elatomsky orphanage, the Pervomaisky orphanage and the Moscow Orphanage No. 8 for mentally retarded children. And we know that firsthand what miracles doctors do there. But doctors believe that mothers are great helpers of doctors during the period of postoperative care for children and their presence is necessary to improve the quality of life of young patients during treatment. We always trust our doctors and that’s why we decided to help.
We tried to use the collected funds as prudently as possible: we have found folding beds from the manufacturer in Yaroslavl, which will serve for a long time – reliable, comfortable, high-quality and at an optimal price. And thanks to you, we raised more funds and were able to purchase 23 clamshells instead of the planned 20.
We are very happy that there are so many people around who are ready to help those who now really need help, and together we have raised the required amount in such a short time!
