We invite specialists for training and parents of children with disabilities to receive support and participate in the project.
The event is held with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund within the framework of the project TOGETHER IT WILL BE POSSIBLE: comprehensive support for children with severe and multiple developmental disabilities and their families.
Participation in the seminar is free.
The target audience:
heads and specialists of educational and social organizations
protection, providing assistance to families raising children with disabilities;
heads and specialists of residential institutions of education and social protection in which children with disabilities live and are brought up;
teachers-defectologists;
special educators;
psychologists;
social workers;
students of specialized specialties;
other professionals working with children with disabilities.
Seminar participants will learn:
Create an individual initial profile of the development of the child, using the principles of the Portage system.
Formulate a clear description of the child’s behavior that is understandable to parents and other professionals.
Develop a learning program for the child by setting clear, minimal, consistent goals.
Use 5 learning planning strategies to improve its effectiveness.
Establish clear criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training.
Manage parenting diaries.
Analyze and eliminate learning difficulties by applying 6 strategies.
Build skills at the level of competencies.
Manage problem behavior using the ABC method.
Work in a team with specialists from various specialties, incorporating their recommendations into your training program.
Throughout the seminar, visual video and photo materials of the experience of using Portage in Russia and abroad will be shown.
Coaches:
Arlamova Irina Igorevna, defectologist teacher, ergotherapist, employee of the Portage team, coach and consultant of Portage Center for Curative Pedagogics and Differentiated Education in Pskov.
Krasnokutskaya Ekaterina, master of defectology, teacher-psychologist of the city psychological and pedagogical center (Moscow), Portage coach, supervisor and consultant of the Portage teams.
Nazarkina Svetlana Ivanovna, teacher-defectologist, methodologist of the Early Assistance Department “Limpopo” of the Center for Curative Pedagogics and Differentiated Education in Pskov, Portage trainer.
From each organization, we invite a team of at least 6 specialists who work directly with children and their parents. This will allow you to immediately form a team necessary to start working on the Portage method.

All participants will receive teaching materials that they can take with them.
Attention: A certificate confirming the acquisition of basic knowledge of the Portage method and the right to work according to the Portage method as part of the Portage team is issued to those who have completed all 3 days of the seminar.
