Dear benefactors, thanks to many caring people, we managed to help children from different regions of Russia. And it changes the life of every child for the better. Pay attention to Sofia’s story. We will stir this collection and, together with my mother, hope for a miracle and for the help of medical professionals and rehabilitation therapists.

Required: A rehabilitation course for Sofia V., born in 2012, at the FOC “You are healthy”, Penza, worth 204,000.00 rubles.

Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, mixed spastic tetraparesis, MCH.

From mom’s letter:

“Sonia was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 1 year, when there was already an obvious lag in development, and at 1.4 she was given disability … Sofia has been undergoing rehabilitation measures since 10 months: active and passive exercise therapy, massage, speech therapist, psychologist, micropolarization, synchro-S , swimming pool, hippotherapy, Montessori classes, self-study at home. Sonia is 7 years old, physically we have a little “skill”: she rolls over from her back to her stomach in both directions, crawls on her stomach, gets on all fours and tries to get up and stand on high knees, stands at the support, stands on a walker and tries to take steps with their help. Intellectually, everything is fine – Sofia understands the addressed speech, speaks, expresses her thoughts. This year Sonya has already entered the 1st preparatory class!

At the moment, we really need to undergo comprehensive rehabilitation. Due to the fact that we go to school, less time is left for homework, and the results of the pandemic are also making themselves felt. After the previous rehabilitation, Sofia took her first steps on a walker! Now it is important for us to support and consolidate this result so that she can move independently at school. Let in small steps, but we are moving forward! Sofia really wants to play and run like all healthy kids, have fun and carefree childhood enjoyment! We cannot cope without kind, sympathetic people! ”

Sofia needs a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation in order to consolidate the skills of independent walking, as well as to work out psychological blocks with a specialist. Such an approach to a child can be provided by rehabilitation at the FOC “You are healthy”, Penza. But, unfortunately, Sofia’s family is in a difficult financial situation and cannot pay for the expensive procedures. Our foundation opens a collection for Sofia!
