Sergey Trunov, our beneficiary from Psycho-Neurological Institution #18, is a big fan of studying. He especially likes geography, though other subjects, such as Russian and Maths, sparks his interest too. This autumn, Sergey will start another year of school in the Center of Equal Opportunities “Step Up”. Unfortunately, not all the courses there can supply their students with necessary coursebooks so Sergey requested our help. He asked our Fund to buy him a study kit on Geography and a reliable tablet computer to facilitate his learning process. Another problem was Sergey’s phone, which needed serious repairs. Additionally, having a working communication tool is crucial for Sergey, who needs to be in touch with his mentors, classmates and friends all the time. That is why he asked us to help with that as well.
Of course, we could not ignore Sergey’s reasonable request. The Fund bought him a set consisting of a coursebook, workbook and atlas on Geography for sixth-formers and the brand new tablet with a protective case. His smartphone was fixed in a specialized service. All those were handed over to Sergey in the end of August. You should have seen how happy and excited he was receiving the gifts, and had heard his thanks to everyone involved! For our part, we would like to thank you, our benefactors, for your support of Charity Help program, which is meant to provide assistance to children and adults with disabilities living in orphanages! It is really important since their disability pensions are at best very modest so they cannot afford even ordinary books, muchaless more expensive purchases, such as technological gadgets. Due to our joint efforts from all round we can make some of the children’s dreams finally come true.
